HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2002-015 final plat for continental reserve block 11MARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2002-15 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, APPROVING A FINAL PLAT ON 17.58 ACRES, LOCATED ON BLOCK 11 OF THE CONTINENTAL RESERVE BLOCK PLAT, WITHIN THE PIMA FARMS SPECEFIC PLAN AREA, CONSISTING OF A 71-LOT SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL SUBDIVISION. THIS PROPERTY LIES WITHIN SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST, ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CONTINENTAL LOOP ROAD AND WEST OF ARTESIANO ROAD. WHEREAS, on May 30th, 1989 the Town of Marana adopted Ordinance 89.20 approving the Pima Farms Specific Plan; and WHEREAS, on February 15, 2000 the Town of Marana adopted Resolution 2000-19 approving the Final Block Plat on Continental Reserve; and WHEREAS, KB Homes - Tucson, Inc. is the owner of approximately 17.58 acres within the Continental Reserve boundary generally located in Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12 East and has authorized Morrison Maierle, Inc. to apply to the Town of Marana for approval of a Final Plat for 71 single family detached home lots on 17.58 acres, including lots 1 through 7I and common areas "A" tkrough "D"; and WHEREAS, the Marana Planning and Zoning Corrnnission unanimously voted to recommend approval of the Continental Reserve Block 11 Final Plat to the Town Council at their regular meeting of January 30, 2002; and WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council, at their regular meeting of February 19, 2002 has determined that the Final Plat for Continental Reserve Block 11 should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that the Final Plat for Continental Reserve Block 11, submitted by Morrison Maierle, Inc. for a 71-lot subdivision located within the boundary of Continental Reserve, northeast of Continental Loop Road and west of Artesiano Road, in Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 12 East is hereby approved.
