HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2002-025 preliminary plat for continental ranch retail centerMARANA RESOLUTION NO. 2002-25 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, APPROViNG THE PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR CONTINENTAL RANCH RETAIL CENTER, SUBMITTED BY ARIZONA PAVILIONS LLC, THAT WOULD CREATE A COMMERCIAL SUBDIVISION CONSISTING OF 3 BLOCKS AND 10 LOTS ON 77.78 ACRES, LOCATED SOUTHEAST OF CORTARO ROAD ALONG THE I-I0 FRONTAGE ROAD TO BURLiNGAME ROAD AND SOUTH ALONG CORTARO ROAD TO THE SANTA CRUZ RIVER, 1N A PORTION OF SECTIONS 26 & 35, TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, P,-,~NGE 12 EAST. WHEREAS, the Town of Marana approved and adopted the specific plan for the area 'la, own as Continental Ranch on April 5, 1988 (Ordinance 88.09), located within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Marana, Arizona; and WHEREAS, Arizona Pavilions LLC is the owner of property located southeast of Cortaro Road along the 1-10 Frontage Road to Burlingame Road and south along Cortaro Road to the Santa Cruz River, excluding the Burger King parcel located at the comer of the 1-10 Frontage Road and Cortaro, more particularly within a portion of Sections 26 & 35, Township 12 South, Range 12 East, known as Parcels 65, 65A, 66 and a portion of 67 of the Continental Ranch Specific Plan, and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a preliminary plat for a commercial subdivision consisting of 3 Blocks and 10 Lots on 77.78 acres, including Lots I tl~rough 10, Block 1, Block 2, Block 3 and Common Areas "A" and "B" and more particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference (Exhibit "A"); and WHEREAS, the Marana Town Council has heard from the representative(s) of the owners, staff, and members of the public at the regular Town Council meeting held March 19, 2002, and has detemfined that the preliminary plat for Continental Ranch Retail Center should be approved pursuant to the recommendation of the Marana Planning Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Marana, Arizona, that Continental Ranch Retail Center, submitted by Arizona Pavillions LLC for a commercial subdivision consisting of 3 Blocks and 10 Lots on 77.78 acres of property, 'known as Continental Ranch Parcels 65, 65A, 66 and a portion of 67, located within the Continental Ranch Specific Plan area, more specifically located southeast of Cortaro Road along the 1-10 Frontage Road to Burlingame Road and south along Cortaro Road to the Santa Cruz River, excluding the Burger King parcel located at the corner of the 1-10 Frontage Road and Cortaro, more particularly within a portion of Sections 26 & 35, Township 12 South, Range 12 East, be approved with the following condition: Marantt Resolution No. 2002-25 Page 1 of 2 · Archaeological acceptance by the Town of Marana prior to any trenching or utility work being done on any of the sites.
