A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COLINCIL OF THE TOWN OF MARANA, ·
ARIZONA, APPROVING A FINAL PLAT ON 37 ACRES, LOCATED WITHIN THE PIMA
FARMS SPECIFIC PLAN AREA, CONSISTING OF A 146-LOT SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL SUBDMSION. THIS PROPERTY LIES WITHIN SECTION 28,
TOWNSHIP 12 SOUTH, RANGE 12 EAST, ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CONTINENTAL
LOOP ROAD AND SOUTH OF SILVERBELL.
WHEREAS, on May 30th, 1989 the Town of Marana adopted Ordinance 89.20 approving
the Pima Farms Specific Plan; and
WHEREAS, on February 15, 2000 the Town of Marana adopted Resolution 2000-19
approving the Fimfl Block Plat on Continental Reserve; and
WHEREAS, A_ F. Sterling Home Builders, Ltd. is the owner of approximately 37 acres
within the Continental Reserve boundary generally located in Section 28, Township 12 South,
Range 12 East and has applied to the Town of Marana for approval of a Final Plat for 146 single
family detached home lots on 37 acres, including lots 1 through 146 and common areas "A" and
"B"; and
WHEREAS, the Marana Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously voted to
recommend approval of the Continental Reserve Blocks 2 ~: 3 Final Plat to the Town Council;
and ·
WHEREAS, at their regular meeting of April 2, ~02, the Marana Town Council has
determined that the Final Plat for Continental Reserve Block 2'& 3 should be approved subject to
the condition listed below.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Marana, Arizona, that the Final Plat for Continental Reserve Blocks 2 & 3, submitted by A. F.
Sterling Home Builders, Ltd. for a 146-1ot subdivision located within the boundary of Continental
Reserve, northeast of Continental Loop Road and South of Silverbell, in Section 28, Township 12
South, Range 12 East is hereby approved subject to the following condition:
"Per the Marana Parks, Trail, and Open Space Master Plan, the proposed recreational
facilities shall be installed prior to the completion of construction of 50% of the approved
dwelling units."
