RELATING TO DEVELOPMENT; ADOPTING A NOTICE OF INTENT TO ENTER INTO A
RETAIL DEVELOPMENT TAX INCENTIVE AGREEMENT FOR THE MARANA
SPECTRUM PROJECT PROPOSED TO BE LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST QUADRANT
OF INTERSTATE 10 AND THE FUTURE TWIN PEAKS/LINDA VISTA INTERCHANGE.
WHEREAS Town staff is completing its negotiations with respect to the terms of a
proposed retail development tax incentive agreement for the Marana Spectrum development
project, to be located in the southeast quadrant of Interstate 10 and the future Twin Peaks/Linda
Vista interchange; and
WHEREAS A.R.S. § 9-500.11 (K) requires a city or town to adopt a notice of intent to
enter into a retail development tax incentive agreement at least 14 days before approving the
agreement; and
WHEREAS Town staff anticipates that it will bring the proposed Marana Spectrum
development agreement to Town Council for its consideration at the December 18, 2007
meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED' BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF MARANA, ARIZONA, that this notice of intent is hereby adopted to enter into the
Marana Spectrum development agreement, a retail development tax incentive agreement, no
earlier than December 18, 2007.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
MARANA, ARIZONA, this 4th day of December, 2007.
